The Happy News is... Recognition is great!!! Last Friday I had the to opportunity to
participate in my 3rd President's Club Recognition Luncheon. You can see my President's

The food and the company were great and Avon provided fabulous door prizes for drawings which many
from our district were lucky enough to win including our very own Maxine Guerra who is on my team!!!
Maxine also won the Avon Rising Star award for our district. She made President's Club in 11 campaigns
(it takes most of us 20-26) and she has a good start on developing a team of her own. I'm very proud to
know Maxine. If you would like to meet her too, she's at the 72nd Street Flea Market (the old Rod Kush
Furniture building) most weekends. It was a very nice day for all of us but one thing made it extra special
for me!! I received the Spirit of Avon Award for our District. This is a special award to someone chosen by
the District Sales Manager. This is what it says on the certificate that I received along with my Spirit of
Avon Statue. “The Spirit of Avon award is an award given from the heart. The heart of a Manager and the
heart of Avon. Although it is often hard to choose just one recipient because there are so many special
Representatives, one person's incredible spirit stands out above the rest. Not necessarily because of sales
or high dollar increase, or even for recruiting excellence, but because of an attitude of giving, sharing and
selflessness. This person gives of herself continually. She builds her own business by professionally and
courteously serving her customers. She also cares and shares with other Representatives, as well as all
who have the privilege of crossing her path. She is a friend; she is a teacher; she is a blessing. She is the
Spirit of Avon.”
All I can say is “it's easy to exemplify the Spirit of Avon when you have the best Avon “friends” and
customers like I do!!!! “
