The Happy News is going to try for a comeback! It's been a busy, whacky, sad and crazy year.
We made it through and now it's time to pick up the pieces. As they say, " A picture is worth 1000 words so hear is part of what happened in 2010.

This is about the Happiest News I have to report and the weight loss is still going on! Let me know if you want to attend my 100 lbs. lost party. Probably sometime in Feb/March. It's going to be a hoot! If you are interested in the eating program I'm using for weight loss and improved health send me an email and I'll send you a link. I took a course in nutrition this year and on 12/28/10 I received my certification as a Nutrition Consultant. I am available for nutrition consultations if you are interested in losing weight, improving your diet, having more energy and feeling better. I truly believe you are what you eat and that most of us are running on empty, nutritionally. If you're considering starting an exercise program for 2011, I have 2 recommendations:
1. take yoga classes: I took classes with Cary at Prairielands Chiropractic in the Omni Center
in downtown Council Bluffs. You can check it out at www.prairielandschiropractic.com.
2. take Jazzercise: I'm taking these now and it's really fun! The instructors : Jessie and Ashley are super and Janon, the owner is great!
Exercise classes are a great investment in your health care!

Happy New Year Everyone! Are you busy making your resolutions? I don’t make resolutions anymore. Instead I aim for Intentional Positive Changes. (IPC’s) Here are the steps I follow to decide what IPC’s I want to make:
#1. I take some time to reflect on the year past and then decide what I want to “do”, “be” and “have” in 2010.
#2. Next I outline a series of “Baby Steps” that will put me on the path that leads to what I want to “do” , “be” and “have” in 2010.
#3. Whatever IPC’s I choose to make I promise that I will enjoy the moments along the way because the joys and the lessons of the journey are at least as important as making the changes. Sometimes more!

Winter Solutions – a New Skin Care option for protection from the Winter Elements. I’m currently using the Cleanser and the Moisturizer. It’s great! My face is feeling comfortable and nourished. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Before Thanksgiving it was hard to think about Christmas; we were feeling a bit humbug about it around our house. It's too early! It's too commercial! It's crazy to get so crazy about the holidays! But we tore a page off the calendar and now it's December. We've put a few of our favorite decoraions out; our clock chimes the hour with the 12 days of Christmas. I got a good start on my Christmas letter and wonder of wonders I found a bunch of Christmas cards I made in Januaary! Another pleasant realization is that because I've been picking up gifts all through the year when I saw something special or had an idea that I'm pretty much done with the shopping too! Tomorow there is a little snow in the forcast to really get us in the mood! I always thought of the phrase "hope springs eternal" as something that refers to nature coming back to life in the springtime. But let's hope that Christmas springs eternal as well... and that each year at Christmas we can renew our hope in peace on earth; good will toward men and do our part to bring it to pass.

I'm a Great Aunt!!!! Sydney Katherine Strong joined the clan on November 8th!!! She's the cutest and we are all so happy she's here! My oldest daughter turns 21 tomorrow! Time does fly. She lives in NYC now but was able to come home for 4 days to celebrate her birthday with us and all her local friends! This thanksgiving I'm so thankful for my Family! I hope you all have some people in your life who give you the attitude of gratitude! Happy Thanksgiving!
