AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY PERSONAL!!
As many of you know I have been getting ready (mentally & emotionally more than anything else) to send my oldest daughter, Jillian, off to New York City to begin her training at the French Culinary Institute. Well, January 6th came, as I knew it would and we took Jill and her gear to Epley Airport at 6 a.m. After a big hug and with a big lump in my throat I waved good-bye as she entered the airport security maze. She had a good trip, a fun weekend with our Church friends who met her at the airport and began her exploration of the Big Apple. I'm now a big fan of Facebook and digital cameras because she can post her pictures as soon as she returns to her apartment/dorm and upload them for all her friends (and Mom) to view. It's a vicarious trip to NYC through Jillian's eyes....a great historical record but maybe I should make a scrapbook just in case there is no Facebook or internet as we know it when I want to show my grandchildren their "mother's big adventure" when she was only 20 years old. I'm also happy to report that all this has not made me feel one day or even one minute older!!!!
Not to let any grass grow under my feet either. There are a lot of new things coming from Avon in the first quarter of 2009 . We're starting Campaign 3 already so it's time to get a little something for your Valentine. Campaign 4 (January 28th) will be the last campaign to order and get gifts in time for Valentine's Day. Everyone who orders a Valentine gift in C-3 can take 10% off their entire order. I'm changing my Sneek Peak article to The Next Big Thing for each campaign. Look for it in this issue. Anyone who orders The Next Big Thing for any Campaign in 2009 will get a 20% discount on that one item.
